Examining the robust trade corridor between India and UK

Businesses globally are slowly coming to terms with the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and planning towards what the future will behold.

Despite these challenges, the India UK trade and investment corridor has remained robust, as substantiated by India’s position as the second largest inward investor in the UK for 2019-20, with 120 new projects and creating over 5000 jobs. 

This webinar focuses on the relationship between the two countries and shares insights on policies and future prospects across the fintech and financial services space. A panel discussion, hosted by Alderman William Russell, the Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of the City of London Corporation and Anita Nandi, Country Head, City of London Corporation - India office, are joined by senior representatives from the UK and India to explore UK opportunities available for Indian fintech companies in greater detail. 

According to the latest Grant Thornton ‘India meets Britain tracker’ report, Indian companies continue to invest, grow and expand in the UK, with combined revenues of over £41bn and employing over 110,000 people.

The UK fintech sector has also exhibited similar resilience and growth trends this year, overcoming the economic concerns around.
