This regular report shows that London now represents almost half of all renminbi foreign exchange trading. Produced by the City of London Corporation and the People’s Bank of China, the report shows that average daily trading volume of the Chinese currency in London in Q1 2019 was more than £78 billion, a 30% increase year-on-year. Cross-border receipts and payments between China and the UK saw significant increases.
