David Vandivier serves as the US Managing Director for the City of London Corporation, where he leads engagement with senior U.S. policymakers, financial institutions, and business leaders to strengthen the transatlantic relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States. In this role, he advances collaboration on financial and professional services, sustainable finance, digital innovation, and the evolving global regulatory landscape.

David brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of finance, public policy, and government. Prior to joining the City of London Corporation, he was Executive Director of Georgetown University’s Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy, where he led the Center’s strategic growth and expanded partnerships across the public and private sectors.

Previously, David served as Co-Head of U.S. Government Affairs for BNY Mellon, overseeing the firm’s federal public policy strategy and representing the company before Congress and federal regulators. Prior to that he held senior roles in both the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government, including service in the U.S. Senate and leadership positions in the Obama and Clinton Administrations. His roles included Chief of Staff at the Council of Economic Advisers, Senior Advisor to the Commissioner at the Internal Revenue Service, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax and Budget at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

David holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College of Indiana.
