Gordon Bennett

Gordon Bennett
Global Head of Environmental Markets, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)

Mr. Gordon S. Bennett has been Managing Director at Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. since February 2015. Mr. Bennett is responsible for the strategy, sales and product development of ICE’s global environmental portfolio, the world’s largest environmental marketplace.

He is a member of the Board of ICE Endex, ICE Futures Abu Dhabi, Spark Commodities and a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of BeZero Carbon.

He was named Environmental Finance’s sustainable business leader of the year in 2022 and contributes to a wide range of external environmental and energy market initiatives including being a current member of the Steering Committee of the City of London Carbon Market Forum, the Responsible Carbon Finance Advisory Council of the Clean Cooking Association, the Advisory Group for BSI Flex 701 - Nature Markets, the VCMI Stakeholder Forum and the Advisory Board of the University of Cambridge Energy Policy Research Group. He has also served on the Nature Based Solutions Taskforce of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, UNDP Advisory Group for Paris Agreement Investments and the Transition to Net Zero Working Group of the FCA and Bank of England’s Climate Financial Risk Forum.

Prior to ICE, Mr. Bennett spent 12 years at the global energy broker, Spectron, joining as Group Financial Controller. During his tenure at Spectron he held several Board roles including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. After the acquisition of Spectron by Marex he joined the Executive Committee of Marex Spectron in the role of Managing Director and Global Head of Energy.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He served as a Senior Manager in the Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities division of the accounting firm Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honours) in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh.


Claudia Blamey

Claudine Blamey
Chief Sustainability Officer, Aviva

Currently Chief Sustainability Officer at Aviva. Claudine was previously the Director of Sustainability and Digital Strategy at Argent LLP for 3 years.

Claudine delivered the net zero carbon flights strategy at easyJet in her role as Director of Sustainability. Prior to this she set up the Group sustainability function at Sainsbury’s covering sustainable sourcing, operational waste and community activity as well as group charitable partnerships and overall development of group wide sustainability strategy and implementation.

Claudine was responsible for the sustainability strategy for The Crown Estate’s business. Claudine joined from SEGRO where she was Head of Sustainability. Prior to this she was Director of Corporate Responsibility at British Land where she was responsible for Group corporate responsibility policy, implementation and communication.

Before this Claudine was the Environment Manager at Honda (UK). Claudine is on the City Corporation Property Investment Board and was previously on the Board of Business in the Community (BITC) and the Mace Group Responsible Business Board and was Chair of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) from 2015-2017. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).


Natalia Dorfman

CEO and co-founder, Kita

Natalia Dorfman is the CEO and co-founder of Kita, the carbon insurance specialist. Kita’s purpose is accelerating investment in high quality carbon sequestration projects with insurance products that reduce transaction risk and safeguard the performance of carbon credit investments. Prior to founding Kita, Natalia spent 15 years as a business development and strategy specialist within the legal sector.

She was named among the “Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch” by NatWest and the Telegraph in November 2022, is one of the leaders recognised in the 2023 “Meaningful Business 100”, and was named among Fin-Erth's '101 Leading Women in Climate' for the Women in Climate Awards 2024. 


David Frank

David Frank
Director Policy Engagement, Microsoft Global Sustainability Policy Team 

David Frank joined Microsoft in February 2017. 

Having started his career in the UK civil service, David spent almost a decade working on a range of policy issues and spent three years on the fast stream. After leaving the civil service in 2010 David joined the mobile network operator EE as Senior Public Affairs Manager, before spells at Ofcom and Nominet. 

David joined Microsoft UK’s public policy team in 2017 and worked on AI, Competition, Data, and Sustainability public policy issues. In 2022 David moved to Microsoft’s global Sustainability policy team as Director of Policy Engagement and works on carbon accounting, carbon removals and the company’s sustainability public policy presence at international events. 

A graduate of Queen Mary College, University of London, David lives in West London with his wife and two daughters, plus a golden cocker spaniel and an aging cat. 


Tim Gould

Tim Gould
Chief Economist, IEA (International Energy Agency)

Tim Gould was appointed the Agency's Chief Energy Economist in 2021. As Chief Energy Economist, he provides strategic advice on energy economics across a wide range of IEA activities and analysis. Mr Gould is also Head of the Office of the Chief Energy Economist, in which capacity he co-leads the World Energy Outlook, the IEA's flagship publication series, and oversees the Agency's work on investment and finance, including the World Energy Investment report.

Mr Gould joined the IEA in 2008, initially as a specialist on Russian and Caspian energy, and in recent years has designed and directed a wide range of IEA analytical outputs, while continuing to contribute also as an author. Prior to joining the IEA, Mr Gould worked on European and Eurasian energy issues in Brussels and has ten years of experience in Eastern Europe, primarily in Ukraine. He graduated from Oxford University and has a post-graduate diploma from the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University.


Chris Hayward

Policy Chairman,
City of London Corporation

As Political Leader of the City of London Corporation, the Policy Chairman acts as a principal spokesperson and advocate for London as a global financial and professional services capital. Financial and professional services drive the UK economy, generating over £85bn in economic output annually, contributing 12% in total tax revenue to the UK government. 

As Policy Chairman, Chris steers the development and delivery of the City Corporation’s priorities through the work of the Policy and Resources Committee which oversees the provision of local government services for our 8,600 residents and over 600,000 workers based in the Square Mile. Beyond our remit for financial and professional services, the City Corporation is the UK’s fourth biggest funder of culture, is the primary sponsor of the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama, is principal supporter of the Barbican Centre, Europe’s largest cultural space, and is leading the £397 million redevelopment of the London Museum.   

In a career spanning more than four decades, Chris has founded, led, and expanded companies across the UK and globally in a range of industries – including aviation, publishing, B2B business development and construction. He has balanced his professional responsibilities with a commitment to public service, engaging in British politics at both the local and national level since early adulthood. He is a former Deputy Leader of Hertfordshire and Dorset County Councils and was first elected to Common Council of the City of London Corporation in March 2013. He has previously served as Chairman of the City Corporation’s Planning & Transportation Committee and as Sheriff of the City of London from 2019 – 2021. 

He continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director working with companies focused on property, infrastructure, civil-engineering, and planning.  


Satoshi Ikeda

Satoshi Ikeda
Chief Sustainable Finance Officer and Director of the Strategy Development Division, Financial Services Agency, Government of Japan

Satoshi Ikeda has been the Chief Sustainable Finance Officer (CFSO) since March 2019, and Director of the Strategy Development Division since June 2024, at the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA). 

In this role, he covers a wide range of issues concerning sustainable finance which include, among other things, designing Japan's own transition finance framework based upon disclosures of transition plans and emissions data aligned with Taskforce on Climate Related Disclosures (TCFD), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and other international standards.

He currently serves as Chair of the Working Group on Transition Plan of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and Co-chair of the Working Group on Transition Finance of the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF).

  


 
Jennifer Jordan-Saifi

Jennifer Jordan-Saifi
CEO, Sustainable Markets Initiative

Jennifer Jordan-Saifi, M.V.O., MBA is Chief Executive Officer of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, a global organisation that mobilises the private sector to put sustainability at the heart of global value creation.

His Majesty King Charles III, a champion of sustainability for over 50 years, launched the Sustainable Markets Initiative (when he was Prince of Wales) in 2020.

From 2018 to 2023, Ms. Jordan-Saifi served as Assistant Private Secretary to The King covering foreign affairs, the Commonwealth, and supporting His Majesty’s sustainability leadership on the world stage. In this role, she established the Sustainable Markets Initiative, developed its guiding mandates, the Terra Carta and Astra Carta, and its storytelling platform RETV.

Working for the Government of Canada (2008-2018), Ms. Jordan-Saifi led on a wide range of foreign policy priorities and initiatives, including United Nations Strategic Policy and Reform and as negotiator for the Sustainable Development Goals. From 2000-2008 she served with the ICRC, the UN, international/local NGOs and as a journalist in the Middle East building local capacity to enable social enterprise, market development, and community-based design.


Alastair King

Alderman Alastair King
The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of the City of London

Alastair is the Founder and Chairman of Naisbitt King Asset Management Limited, an independent, FCA-regulated fund management firm, headquartered in the City of London.  He started his career as a lawyer and practice­­­d as a solicitor at a leading international law firm.

Alastair was first elected as a Common Councillor for the Ward of Queenhithe (where he resides) in 1999, was then elected Alderman in 2016 and served as Sheriff of the City of London 2022-2023. He has served on a wide range of City of London Corporation Committees including the Finance Committee and the Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee.  Alastair sits on the Governing Bodies of the Bridewell Royal Hospital, the Samuel Wilson Loans Trust, Morden College and Emanuel Hospital.

A Liveryman of eleven City Livery Companies, Alastair also serves as Chairman of The British Liver Trust and Chairman of Onside Youth Zone, Haringey Project. Alastair is a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London, and he is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI), an Honorary Visiting Professor - Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London and an Honorary Bencher - Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Alastair is active in business groupings, both in the United Kingdom and around the world. He is Secretary of the UK Parliament’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sovereign Wealth Funds. He is also Chair of the Institute of Directors, London Region. He is a member (and past three-time Chapter Chair) of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and a member of CEO, an invitation-only group of 2000 leading CEOs from around the world.


Gillian Lofts

Global and EMEIA Financial Services Sustainability Leader, EY

Gill is the Global and EMEIA Financial Services Sustainability Leader, EY. She is responsible for developing and building out our world class capability in this area.

She helps EY Financial Services clients create business value from Sustainability and accelerate their transition to a lower carbon future.

Gill is passionate about making progress on the sustainable finance agenda and has been part of the Embankment Project for Inclusive Capitalism. 

Gill sits on the IIF Sustainability Finance Working Group and Chairs the TCUK’s International Climate Finance working group. 

She has over 25 years’ experience in the wealth and asset management sector, both as a professional advisor and as an industry practitioner. In industry she has held senior technology roles at both AMVESCAP and JPMorgan.


Ravi Menon

Ravi Menon
Singapore's Ambassador for Climate Action

Mr Menon is Singapore’s first Ambassador for Climate Action and Senior Adviser to the National Climate Change Secretariat at the Prime Minister’s Office. He plays a leading role in Singapore’s efforts to foster collective action internationally and transition planning locally towards a low-carbon future. He is also Chairman of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) Asia-Pacific Advisory Board and a member of the GFANZ Principals Group.  

Mr Menon is Chairman of the Global Finance & Technology Network, a not-for-profit company which harnesses technology and fosters innovation for more efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial ecosystems globally. He is also a Trustee of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Chairman of its Innovation and Enterprise Committee; and a Senior Fellow at the Civil Service College.  

Mr Menon is Chairman of ImpactSG, a start-up charity which aims to grow a community of purposeful givers in Singapore and Asia. He is also a Board Member of The Majurity Trust, a philanthropy which deploys cause-based funds to address social needs; and a Trustee of the Singapore Indian Development Association, a community self-help group.  

Prior to his current roles, Mr Menon served for 36 years in the Singapore Public Service.  

As Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (2011-23), Mr Menon oversaw monetary and macroprudential policies, reformed the financial regulatory framework, and developed Singapore as a green finance centre and a global FinTech hub. On the international front, he served as Chairman of the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System and Chairman of the Financial Stability Board Standing Committee on Standards Implementation.  

As Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (2007-11), Mr Menon helped to steer the economy during the global financial crisis. As Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Finance (2003-07), he oversaw fiscal policy and government reserves.  

Mr Menon holds a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Economics from NUS.  


Greg Murray

CEO & Co-Founder of KOKO Networks 

Greg Murray is CEO & Co-Founder of KOKO Networks, a 10 year old climate technology company that operates in Kenya, Rwanda, India and the UK. 

KOKO leverages compliance carbon markets to deliver a non-government energy transition subsidy in lower-income tropical forest nations.  KOKO won the FT/IFC Transformational Business Award 2021, the 2022 Keeling Prize, the 2023 YPO Global Impact Award, and is backed by the World Bank’s MIGA and Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund. 

Greg is an Australian entrepreneur who has invested in and developed ventures in emerging markets for 20 years, and is now based with his family in London. 


Nicola Ranger

Executive Director and Professor in Practice, Natural Capital, Risk and Finance, London School of Economics

Nicola Ranger is Executive Director and Professor in Practice, Natural Capital, Risk and Finance, London School of Economics. She also directs the Oxford Martin Systemic Resilience Initiative, the UK Integrating Finance and Biodiversity Programme and the Resilient Planet Finance Lab.

Nicola brings 20 years' expertise in risk, analytics, economics, finance and fiscal policy as a practitioner and researcher across industry, government, IFIs and academia. She works with governments, Central Banks, regulators, financial institutions and international organisations to help align policy and finance with resilience and sustainability goals.

She has formerly held senior positions at the World Bank, HM Treasury/Cabinet Office, the UK Department for International Development, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a member of several high-level expert groups, including the European Commission’s HLEG on Sustainable Investment in LMICs and the UK’s Green Taxonomy Advisory Group (GTAG).


Professor Lucia A. Reisch

Professor Lucia Reisch
Director of the El-Erian Institute of Behavioural Economics and Policy, University of Cambridge

Professor Reisch is the inaugural Director of the El-Erian Institute for Behavioural Economics and Policy at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.  

At Cambridge Queens’ College, she is currently Acting Dean, as well as the Academic Director of the YNOT Institute: Data Science for Equity. 

With decades of experience with high-level policy consulting on consumer behaviour and behavioural policy, she regularly consults international organisations (EU, OECD, UNEP, World Bank, Inter American Bank) and governments worldwide on making use of behavioural insights. 

Elected as a lifelong member of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering, and an Elected Member of the Technical Academy of Science of Germany. 

Lucia is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Consumer Policy (SpringerNature), and on the editorial board of Behavioural Public Policy (Oxford University Press) and Food Policy (Elsevier) and a contributing author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 6th Assessment Report. 


Alok Sharma

Rt Hon Lord Sharma KCMG
Chair of the Transition Finance Council

Alok Sharma served as a Member of Parliament in the UK House of Commons for 14 years (2010-2024) and was subsequently appointed a Member of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament. Prior to entering Parliament, Alok qualified as a chartered accountant and then worked as an investment banker for 16 years based out of London, Frankfurt, and Stockholm.

He served in a range of UK government ministerial roles prior to entering the UK Cabinet as Secretary of State for International Development. He was subsequently appointed Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, as well as President Designate of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). In 2021, he took on the COP President role full-time, leading the UK’s work in bringing together the world to tackle climate change and getting almost 200 countries to sign up to the historic Glasgow Climate Pact.

Alok was knighted in King Charles III’s 2023 New Year’s Honours for his services to tackling climate change. He currently serves as Chair of the UK's Transition Finance Council, is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford, Co-Chair of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Climate Advisory Council and a Distinguished Fellow at Conservation International.

 


Sir Andrew Steer

Sir Andrew Steer KCMG, PhD  
Distinguished Professor of Practice in Economics and Sustainability, Georgetown University and the London School of Economics.

Sir Andrew Steer is Distinguished Professor of Practice in Economics and Sustainability at Georgetown University and the London School of Economics.

In 2024 Dr. Steer was knighted in recognition of his “sustained contribution as one of the world’s best-known leaders in global sustainable development economics"; and was named by Forbes as one of the world’s 50 most impactful climate leaders, in its inaugural Sustainability Leaders awards.

As the first President and CEO of the Bezos Earth Fund (2021-2025), he directed the world’s largest philanthropy for climate and nature. During his tenure, the Earth Fund has supported major initiatives to help restore 100 million hectares of land in Africa, protect 30% of land and sea by 2030, de-risk private investment in green infrastructure, and advance satellite technology and AI for nature and climate.

He served as President and CEO of the World Resources Institute (2012-2021), leading a team of 1600 professionals, and overseeing the transition of WRI to become a global institution, opening 10 international offices. He was responsible for launching major initiatives such as the New Climate Economy Commission, the NDC Partnership, the Adaptation Commission, and the Systems Change Lab.

Previously, he served as Special Envoy for Climate Change at the World Bank, Director General at the UK’s Department of International Development; Director of the World Bank in Vietnam and Indonesia; and Director of the World Bank’s Environment Department.

He is a member of the UK Foreign Secretary’s External Foreign Policy Board, co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council on Innovative Finance; and a member of the boards of BRAC, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, and the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development.

Andrew was educated at St Andrews University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Cambridge University, and has a PhD in Economics and Finance. He is married to Dr. Liesbet Steer. They have two children: Charlotte, an environmental professional, and Benjamin, an Indie Pop artist.


 

Kristian Teleki

Kristian Teleki 
Chief Executive Officer, Fauna and Flora 

Before joining Fauna & Flora as its Chief Executive Officer in July 2023, Kristian served as Global Director of the Ocean Programme at both the World Resources Institute and the World Economic Forum, where he played a pivotal role in shaping international ocean policy and business leadership. He led the influential Friends of Ocean Action platform and served as Secretariat to the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy—an initiative driven by heads of state to transform ocean governance and the blue economy at a global scale. 

Kristian brings more than two decades of leadership in conservation and environmental diplomacy. Beginning his career in coral reef research, he has since held senior positions across some of the world’s most respected environmental institutions. These include serving as Senior Marine Adviser to the Prince of Wales’s International Sustainability Unit, Director of Global Engagement at the Global Ocean Commission, and Head of the Marine Programme at the UN Environment Programme’s World Conservation Monitoring Centre. His work has consistently bridged science, policy, business and global influence to drive tangible impact for the planet. 


 

Andrew Walton

Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Lloyds Banking Group

Andrew joined Lloyds Banking Group as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer in December 2018, taking on responsibility for internal and external communications, reputation management and public affairs. In October 2023 Andrew also took on the role of Chief Sustainability Officer responsible for shaping the Group's approach to environmental sustainability and responsible business.

Andrew is a proud Executive Ally of LBG's Rainbow Network supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in the workplace.

Prior to Lloyds, Andrew was Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Services for the Strategic Communications segment of FTI Consulting. In that role he acted as a senior counsellor to Governments, leading financial institutions and global corporations on a wide range of communications activity.

He joined FTI Consulting in 2005 from Morgan Stanley in New York where he had been Vice-President of corporate communications for that firm's global investment banking business, having previously held a similar role in London for the European business.

Andrew is a graduate in law from Cambridge University (MA).


 

Irem Yerdelen

Lead Member for Sustainable Finance, City of London Corporation

Irem Yerdelen is the Managing Partner of ERM’s Sustainability & Climate Solutions in Northern Europe, which includes several strategic advisors, subject matter technical experts, consulting staff and other partners.

Irem is advising global clients from all sectors to manage their transition to a low carbon economy; from strategy, reporting to operationalising sustainability - including all types of ESG, Climate, Biodiversity and Net Zero related matters.

Irem is also an elected Councillor for the City of London Corporation, representing the Lime Street Ward. Currently acting as the Policy Lead for Sustainable Finance, Board Director of the Green Finance Institute, and Deputy-Chair of the Transition Finance Council.

Irem brings decades of international risk management and insurance industry experience, having worked at Marsh and WTW, specialising on (re)insurance and alternative risk solutions for global complex risks.
