We are looking for a minimum of 15 partners from across the risk industry to represent the London Market and to support this initiative to ensure it is a cross-industry event.

Read below for more information about the opportunities for event partners to get involved, help shape the agenda and share their perspectives on how to make this a world-class summit.

Background

The City of London Corporation will host the inaugural Risk Summit, as part of an interactive, in-person week of engagements and events hosted across the City to showcase London’s risk management expertise to an international audience. The aim is to attract business leaders and all those in the sector to drive innovation and address the challenges of the future risks felt in all global boardrooms. This event will form part of the incoming (subject to election) Lord Mayor’s mayoral theme of Growth Unleashed, which includes work to challenge the industry to maximise opportunities through responsible risk-taking.

Summit Format

Date: 21 May 2025
Location: The Guildhall, City of London
Format: A full-day, interactive, invite-only in-person summit featuring thematic working groups, multiple networking opportunities (including drinks reception), and leadership keynotes, featuring global leaders across sectors. A VIP invite-only dinner for 80 distinguished guests will follow the summit
Audience: The summit will convene 300 – 350 high-level participants, including major international risk buyers/corporates, brokers (both US and international), cross-sector risk managers, CEOs and Chief Risk Officers, and Chief Underwriting officers

Themes and Discussions

The day will focus on 5 key thematic risk areas:

  • Cyber

These risks will all be considered in terms of future innovative solutions and opportunities to showcase the London Market as the home of innovative risk management, but also with key enablers in mind such as technology and talent.
